Opening of the Hong Kong Trend Play Series of Events Promoting the Integration of Local Creative Industries and Tourism
With the full support of the Creative Industry Development Bureau, the Hong Kong Branded Toys Association will hold a series of trend-playing toy events featuring local IPs in 2026 to enhance the visibility of Hong Kong IPs among local residents and overseas visitors and consolidate Hong Kong's position as the 'Trend-Playing Capital'. The entire trend-playing festival consists of three major stages: the first stage, the Festival Walk 'Hong Kong Trend Play Grand Exhibition' (9 January - 1 February), officially opens the curtain of the trend-playing festival; the second stage will participate in the 'New Year International Carnival Night' - 'Hong Kong Float Parade' held at the Cultural Center in Tsim Sha Tsui on 17 February, and it is even more of a major event in the city that the 'Hong Kong Trend-Playing Float' will be included for the first time; the third stage, the 'Hong Kong Trend Play Carnival', will be held at the South Pavilion Square, Victoria Park, Causeway Bay (20 February - 3 March).
Dream Tree House in the Forest of Children's Play Source of Creative Inspiration
The 'Hong Kong Trend Play Grand Exhibition' transforms Festival Walk into a true 'Forest of Children's Play', with the entire exhibition area designed to inspire the legacy and creative journey of toy designers. The 7-meter-tall Dream Tree House symbolizes the deep roots of the designers and also represents a space that nurtures the creativity of the younger generation. In this small environment, creativity and imagination flourish, and every corner hides stories of works in different styles and periods, waiting to be explored and discovered. This is not only a display of toys but also an imaginative and creative toy workshop, allowing every visitor to experience the unique charm of Hong Kong's trend-playing culture.
7-meter-tall Dream Tree House 12 Giant IP Dolls Over 100 Collectible Pieces
Hanging outside the 7-meter-tall tree house are warm yellow light bulbs, creating a friendly and dreamy atmosphere. 12 popular toy brands and original IP large dolls, including the first-ever exposure of KYUBI, Copper Man 18, Dragon Ten Children, BUBBLE B, THE NOPE CAT, MESA, Little White, Franken Skids, and Fire AYDEN, as well as the highly popular KMB Leyland Victory Double-Decker Heavy Machine, ONIKO, and DAYDREAMER, all gather at the entrance of the tree house, awaiting your arrival! Walking along both sides of the tree house, you will first be able to appreciate a number of original and collectible exhibits, including Iron Armor Steel Fist 1/6 Atom, Golden Warrior Alloy Model, Superman Magnetic Levitation Edition, Astro Boy Mechanical Transparent Edition DX3.0, and 'Kalos x Walled City Siege' EPIX series, full of surprises! It is worth mentioning that after the tree house exhibition ends on January 25, 10 giant dolls will be moved to the G floor of Festival Walk to continue the exhibition, so be sure to seize the opportunity to visit and appreciate them.
Upon entering the tree house, precious original manuscripts are hanging all around the giant tree trunk, as if floating down from the air, with creativity and inspiration bursting forth. The display walls on both sides showcase over 100 collectible pieces from nearly 30 toy brands and original IPs, including the Beauty and the Beast three-dimensional sculpture, AMK PRO series Macadden pre-assembled model, AH-Pollo Enamel, and暴走虎enamel, allowing toy enthusiasts to admire a variety of treasures all at once!
After appreciating all the exhibits, there is another surprise when leaving the tree house - the creative 'Lacquer' interactive game! On the digital display screen, you can choose your favorite toy model and color it freely, creating a unique piece that is yours alone. Once you're done, scan the QR code on the screen to download your creation, and don't forget to share it on social media, tagging #HKBTA #BTA #HongKongBrandedToysAssociation #HongKongTrendPlay #festivalwalkhk, and sharing your trend-playing creativity with your friends!
